black meat breeds, silkies ect....

Yes, they are very interesting type of chickens.

Chickengirl123 from the cemani thread, will be selling her Hmong eggs as soon as they are laying for a while. Last time I asked her, they haven't laid yet. You can check with her to see what she says.

How did the CL ad for the Korean Ogol from CA go, any reply yet?

No reply yet from cl, bumned, but I have plenty of fm chickens atm & otw. I have ayam cemani x orpington chicks, and picking up more tomorrow, while waiting for svart honas from DCchicken.

It'll be ok, if they don't reply, you've got some nice birds to work with from DC and other cemani cross to play with

I''m hoping to get some from DC too, but not likely till next year.

DC- lets just say I'm pushing it lol.

Atm I have 40 chickens, after tomorrow 43. Yeah.. I have plenty of chickens, considering I'm still expecting your svart honas and your sisters white bresse, plus probably any more my friend hatched out of her cemani hens, which are this last hatch, 2 pure cemani, which brings the total to 43, then another 15 from you & your sister, so... yeah.

Who knows, the price was good, but again I'm not close by and would have needed them shipped. Oh well.

Excited and doing a happy dance as my bf builds a thing to hang the watering bucket with for my meaties (aka: itty bitty peep peeps, 3 br, 7 white leghorn, 16 slw) that I got 11 days ago, and today wattles started appearing on a few. They grow fast on the 26% protein gamebird feed!! So it's looking like I have not very many pullets with these guys.

I'm trying to decide how I'm feeding/raising these chicks I have now of the ayam cemani mothers with possible orpington daddy for meat. I'm thinking I'm may keep the girls in my layer flock of the cemani x. For fm meat bird purposes, as that would be the ones I feed like the itty bitty peep peeps I have now to get them big enough for freezer camp within 16 weeks or so? Thoughts? Experiences?

I never heard from the cl ad oh well. I have enough chickens for the moment lol.

I now have 6 chicks as part of my black meat project, or whatever color it's going to be. I have 2 ayam cemani x black&white spangled orpington chicks and 4 ayam cemani chicks, 1 I think is definitely a roo. They are all around 2-3 weeks old. The 4 ayam cemani leaning chicks out of these "haffies" have black/mullberry skin which is easy to see as their feathers are coming in atm.

The 2 orpington leaning looking chicks have pink skin. My friend has more of these chicks and is hatching more. So I do have a bit of a supply of them.
