BLRW joke - now 11 weeks old, is it a boy??! (answer in post #82)

I guess it's a "wait and see" situation...

With my luck those shiny saddle feathers will grow in nicely and then that'll be the end of Scarlet's stay with us...

still hoping for a miracle though

She hasnt even got yellow legs. Whatever she is, she's pretty. Sometimes surprises are the most fun. (and she's looking girly so far to me, too. Nothing is screaming roo yet.)

So the absence of any comb (it's totally smooth) and teeny tiny pale wattles at 10 weeks of age would indicate pullet, no matter the feathering?

Sorry for being gaga over this but I'm so discouraged at having a coop full of teenage roos... some pullets would be a delight, no matter what they look like

My vote is pullet, too. My 12 week old SLW's have the same comb development and wattles as yours. And, my BLRW roo has huge wattles and a very red comb at 8 weeks.

I wanted to thank you all for your opinions - I hope you're right when you say pullet!!

Will post an update with pics in a couple of weeks
