Blue/Brown Eggs, Easter/Christmas Eggs - Getting my craft on!!

No problem! I am very visual, and it helps me to see what I need to be shopping for. Miss Prissy has a GREAT idea here, and I've been excited about it since I found this thread months ago. It's cool to finally be able to start making them.

WOW!!! I just found this thread. I think DD and I might try this. Especially since it is the rub on foil. I thought it was the metallic paint, and I am deathly allergic.

This month's Hobby Farm Home magazine had something similar, and I was thinking about doing it, but I like this better! They did fill the eggs with a hardening putty to keep it from shattering. Also, they said you could use jewelry hangers with a loop on the end to hang them with.

They also used fabric scraps on some of them. It was really cool.

I will definitely be trying this! They are beautiful!

I saved a ton of goose eggs this summer for painted eggs for other decorations but I think I might save those really big eggs for easter. :)

I'll have to pull out some of the other things I did with eggs for you all to get ideas from.

Just Beautiful Miss P.

I loop a ribbon and toothpick for some. It is really easy. You cut a length of toothpick about 1inch long. Make a slip knot loop around the toothpick. Put the toothpick in the hole, shake it a little and gently pull the ribbon and the toothpick won't come back out of the hole. Thread the bead cap and a drop of glue to secure it.

Just lovely!

I remember when you were doing this this past spring but I never saw the end result. They turned out beautiful!
