Boxer (the dogs) Thread!!

Not really. Estimated age is between 3 and 5 per the vet. He eats shoes like a puppy.

I think the shoe obsession in most young dogs is because they want to be with you, and shoes have the most scent for them. I've noticed adolescent dogs are more prone to collecting shoes as they transition from pups to adults. Also very young pups seem to do it too. I'm guessing it has something to do with transitioning, and the dog finds comfort in our shoes. My youngest dog will gather shoes when we leave her. She's almost 3.

I wish Beasley would collect rather than consume. He does have some seperation anxiety but it seems to be getting better.

We lost Ruby last Christmas. It broke my heart. I thought we'd have at least two or three more years. She was almost 10 but looked excellent. Unfortunately she developed an inoperable tumor on her spleen.

Boxers are like rock stars, they party hard and burn out quickly. I'm very surprised to have my first boxer to make it past 10. She's our national treasure, and every day with her is a blessing. So very sorry you lost Ruby. It is always so hard no matter how they go.
