I think anyone who sells any kind of Poultry should vaccinate.And i think its also Very wise for thé customer to ask tjese questions. It Only shows responsibility and genuine concern.

So we've been looking for some newer chicks so that we have some new genes, and some better layers, and on craigslist, a person is selling ducklings and promoting them as giving them as a present to a loved one

Hey, I'm a newbie, but I do a lot of research on things that interest me, and from what I've read, YES! Some antibiotic ointment like Neosporin or something, and vet wrap. Keep me posted.

A few of my off colored/patterened young birds, kind of a similar but darker look. Would be interesting to compare the genetics. While Dan's birds carry dominant white I believe, mine are splash phase blue, and may have red enhancers.


On a side note I do vaccinate for Marek's. But it does entail some effort and cost, which might not be warmly recieved, if requested of a breeder who currently does not vaccinate. I also get my supplies from Victor at Twin Cities.
