Hi, all! I'm new to Brahmas and have finally figured out which of are my 5 Brahmas and which are the Cochins! I have three Brahmas that are two weeks old. They are whitish and their wing feathers are coming in black and white. Just curious if these will be light or dark Brahmas. I have another that is darkish in color so I'm thinking that might be a dark. They are hatchery birds and are supposed to be pullets. These are my first birds ever from a hatchery. I've been hatching bought breeder eggs and buying chicks but the rooster dominance has been crazy! I'm willing to forgo a little quality in the hopes they are girls.

Thanks!

Not sure what to make of their color, not like any I recollect ever hatching. I would say the chick in the 3rd picture is male. I will try to get some pictures of mine at a similar age tomorrow.

Or the next day, had knee surgery recently, not exactly skipping across the back yard just yet. Looking at your chick shots again, the third shot, the one I think is a male, shows some dark breast feathers with white lacing. This is opposite of the typical silver laced pattern. I wonder if your birds might be some variation of birchen, or maybe end up colored like silver sussex.
