Congratulations, it's a girl! Lol. I'm new to Brahmas myself, though, so am not sure yet about their laying skills. Actually, I'm curious, too.
My beautiful LaLa and ChaCha, light Brahmas are 10months and seem to be finally getting the hang of the egg laying. We were gone 2 days and I came home to their 4 and their buddy and Barred Rock also 10months eggs in a new area in the coop. They were all very good shells, no breaks. They were about 4 months behind the Barred Rock of the same age, all raise together.

Beautiful Evening All...congrats on the good fortune of fresh eggs.

Beef Roast on the grill tonight with sweet corn grilled to perfection ( I like the carmel type) and beer bread toasted to a golden brown. For you folks that tried the beer bread before....simply thickly slice it and butter both sides...then grill to a golden heaven...LOL!

The gardens are doing great, even though the rain seems to miss us.

Been making the no-bake cheese cake with a quart of fresh home grown raspberries...half in the mix, and the other half on top...think you might like this Jim...it has the gramcracker bottom. Doesent last long around here.

Time for a Leine's wash.

I've culled down to ten Buff pullets and Seven cockerels, twelve light cockerels and seven pullets(35 total).....from the about one hundred I hatched this Spring. First show is Sept 8. I will just show Lights at the first show, Buffs are a bit slower to mature. Light cockerels seem to be very good quality, and the Buff females. Too soon to tell on the Buff Ks. None of the light Ps stand out particularly. How about the rest of you who show? How did your hatches go and are you getting ready for show season? BTW, if anyone cares...I had pizza for diner.
