Just hatched the last silver laced chicks last week. Way late waiting on a late hatched from last year cockerel to mature and father some chicks. Early hatches have some potential. Still a lot of youngsters to little to tell much.

Just got in from working on an air compressor. So supper tonight is hard salami, muenster cheese, a slice of green pepper, on a rye cracker, eating as I type. The residual smell of WD40 is a nice bonus with finger food.

.How about the rest of you who show? How did your hatches go and are you getting ready for show season? BTW, if anyone cares...I had pizza for diner.

Pleased to report that my son went Champion of Show today with a Buff Brahma pullet at the San Juan Co. fair. There were several hundred birds and an APA/ABA judge Frank Joseph. ( Also, Reserve Ch. of Show with a LF Black Cochin). He showed in the Open show.

We got home late and had chicken nuggets for dinner (yuk)!

Thats awesome Clare! Frank Joseph was the judge the first time I ever showed birds.

I'm having coffee now. I usually don't eat breakfast. The garden is mostly burning up other than the okra, winter squash and pumpkins. I like cheese....I live near Muenster, Texas. Sometimes I use WD40. I don't have a compressor. I'll be fifty in December.

Oh, and of course the peppers. I'm only watering the Pumpkins and squash. Last year I grew a pumpkin that weighed 82 pounds. I'm shooting for 100 this year.They are "Dill's Atlantic Giant". The get larger up north than they do here in Tejas. I'll wake my wife before I go to work and ask her for the diner menu. She might get mad? If it sounds good I'll post it here for all of your enjoyment. I have two Fig trees.

THANK YOU! That is exactly the point I was trying to make in my own twisted way. It has really drifted of late, I was trying to point out how silly it was getting.
