Lol! Yea she does match the carpet! Hahaha! I posted on the EE forum and they didnt seem to think it looked like and EE and on the North Carolina forum they said it looked like a brahma mix. So I will find out if and when she lays eggs!

The thing is, Dark Brahmas are of the "silver penciled" variety. Your bird does appear to be of that color variety, just not a Brahma. Your confusion is understandable.

Do you all think she is mixed with something? Because of the comb I am doubtful of her being an easter egger and the lack of ear muffs of beard. She is a loner and doesn't like any of the other chickens and is a pain in the neck to catch. I have never seen another EE like her. She may not be a brahma but she's certainly unlike any chicken I've ever had.

Okay, so I have a light brahma hen named Big Mama that I would like to share. I am not sure how old she is, but have had her for a while. Anybody want to take a guess on what type of quality she is??? She weighs 9 pounds (measured her this morning) and has just recovered form a small molt.

Of course, I am hoping for her to be show quality but because I do not know her origin I don't care what y'alls opinion is. Thanks in advance!




And I can always take more pics and wash her if the problem is that she is dirty You know, this breed is weird when taking pics... always look too small or too big in a certain area LOL
