So your saying No one else with show Brahmas on the West Coast besides Him and Allen are allowed to sell show chickens ?
He was anything But Modest he was stroking his Ego Big time turn off for me with anyone . I had heard a lot of good things about him from a local guy that had birds from him on facebook ? Hmmm

OK anyway I just got a call A Guy wanting to know if i Still have my Nice rooster . WTHeck anyone know who are what area code is 408 ? this is not a local Number for us here its either 541 0r 503 So this is a long distance number maybe Idaho ? But who would call no one has seen Patron no one is in my back yard the Heeler wouldnt allow it said his name was Dale ?

I'm saying no-one else has Dark Brahma's of that quality on the west coast is all I'm saying, and I mean of the quality that can go to any show anywhere in the country and be competitive (I think "show quality" gets tossed around WAY too easily, and WAY too often). Maybe he's changed over the years, sorry you had a bad experience with the guy as he really knows his stuff and has excellent birds.

408 is a San Jose/Santa Clara (among other towns in that area, area code.

Edit: There are some very very good Lights in Cali is my understanding, and some up north WA as well, was just speaking strictly about the Darks

Edit 2: This talk on those particular Brahma's made me go back to FB and look at them...I've got my work cut out for me if I'm gonna beat those, as if worrying about the Cochins wasn't bad enough. LOL Maybe in a couple years I'll be able to sneak in an Asiatic win.

Bob's not exaggerating when he says that sadly. I've known him for almost 20 years. Very good breeder, if anything he's too modest about his birds (at least always has been with his Cochins).

He Is charging $95 + shipping for Cochin eggs on another site. Ouch!

I have asked other people this before, but saw you guys talking about wild birds transmitting disease so thought I would ask here too.Does anyone have any tricks or tips on how to get rid of birds in my barn? There are sparrows, I think black birds (not exactly sure if that i what they are but they are ugly) and at least one piegon. The pigeon I just want to shoot. It is the loudest bird I have ever heard in my life and constantly makes weird noises. When I used to have horses we would have people shot all the pigeons in our barn becuase they could give them diseases, so i would assume they could give chickens disease too.

You need a good Cat want one of mine i have long tailed pixie bobs registered and Huge LOL mine keep the wild birds , squirls and Raccoons at Bay with the help of my Blue heeler . or find a breeder near you . 28 lb for boys 18 lb for girls on the cats they are huge and have no issues getting up into the rafters

its eaither someone from here being mean or who knows

Your friend Bob may have good birds BM but he is not the only show Breeder of Dark Brahmas worth anything here in the NW in fact i know people here in eugene that are not happy with the birds they got from him


maybe they bought his culls for 4h

You need a good Cat want one of mine i have long tailed pixie bobs registered and Huge LOL mine keep the wild birds , squirls and Raccoons at Bay with the help of my Blue heeler . or find a breeder near you . 28 lb for boys 18 lb for girls on the cats they are huge and have no issues getting up into the rafters

I have a few barn cats and am getting aome kittens in a week. I have never seen any of them catch a bird. They are really good at keeping mice away though. I wouldnt ever buy a caat from a breeder. People around here are constantly trying to find homes for cats and give them away. I just give free cats homes and if I find any strays.

pretty sad anyway You could always get a fake owl ? they have lights and make a hooting sound around 30 bucks and might work i know people who have those as well my moms allergic to cats LOL

They have one of those things at a lowes in the town closest to me. It worked for about a week lol! then they got used to it and came back.
