I have two dark cockerels I am trying to decide between since we are only keeping one of the five. Three are definitely not what we want to breed due to size and body type. Of the two possibles, the one with the best temperament, body type, wing set, tail, and head has vulture hocks. The other cockerel is nice looking, but comes in a distant second in all areas except he does not have VHs. If I understand correctly, body type is easier to correct than VH. Based on hat, I should cull the one with VH and keep the second best. Is that correct?

Just about everything is easier to correct than vulture hocks, once established.

You can show any chicken. If it lacks breed type it will be DQd.

That's right all chickens are fun, some are just funner than others.
