Thank you all for your responses. I joined a couple different sites, but I noticed I could not find any e-mail addresses. I will keep trying I am sure sooner or later I will find what I am looking for.

I don't know of any "serious breeders" who sell chicks. VERY few will even sell eggs. Your best bet is to meet breeders at shows. Typically breeders sell excess birds in the Fall. You might subscribe to the "Poultry Press". Breeders do advertize there.

Thank you sir, Tim how would I go about finding breeders who will be attending particular shows? I am going to one on March 1 and I am sure some LF brahmas will be entered in the show. It is the unifour all breed show, but I cannot seem to get any responses anywhere? I would gladly buy from a breeder but I need to get in touch with them so we could arrange it if they have any available.

I'm not Tim but I'd recommend seeking out and maybe joining the Brahma Club, or just go to the show and hang around the brahma cages. If all else fails, as for an exhibitor list, get the phone number of the folks exhibiting brahmas and give them a call. I can't speak for all breeders but a phone call gets a lot more done than an email often times.

Thank you BGMatt I will definitely look into that. I might find some numbers and try to get in touch with a few people.

That's how I got my first real birds many many years ago. I grabbed an exhibitor list, found out who the birds belonged to and then went around the showroom asking everyone I met if they knew who that person was, found them, talked to them, he brought me birds to the next show.

Okay that is a good start thank you. I would like to be able to find out ahead of time who is attending the show I am going to that way I could try to get in touch with them before hand.

Looks like I'm going to need a new brahma roo :( little 3 month old cockerel attacked my leg this morning, so He will be dinner soon. Anyone in central or southern ohio with a good tempered roo? I have small kids so any aggression will not be tolorated. Want a dark, buff, partridge or laced roo?

I have 9 that look exactly like those. But i have 2 that are whiteish. I was told they were sex link buff brahmas when i bought them.

Just a shot in the dark here, but sounds like these birds could be the result of crossing a buff male over light female. This would produce buff female chicks and whiteish males.

I guess it would be good to add that I can only pay $5 to $7 a chick. I hope I do not sound cheap but that is really all I could do right now.
