Your chicks do not seem to have the darker marking on the back and so-called brown markings as shown on ItsAZOO32 pic of one her chicks, which is definitely a dark brahma chick

Could you tell me about your Dark Bantams. What line are they out of? Do you show them? How long have you been breeding them? Are you an ABC member?

I breed/exhibit bantams in Buff and Light. My son has a few large darks. Might be interested in a start in the Bantam Darks...depending on the line.

How can I start to determine the sex of the chicks for Brahmas? What will be the signs to look for in this breed?

I am not familiar with this. What is "feather sexing"? How does this identify the sex of Columbian colored chicks? Thank you.

Question- I am having issues with the color of my gold laced brahmas. I have had then since 2010 and this is my 3rd generation here at my place. They came from Dan Powell. I hatched a batch a few weeks ago and they were great. Today I have more hatching and I am seeing some bluish color instead of the black I usually see. I am so disapointed. Im upset because I sell the eggs from these birds and now I have inconsistance in the flock. They were never consistant on the gold and black color but this just threw me. Anyone else have this issue? Should I dump the bird or keep weeding them out?

It's my opinion that if the color isn't recognized by the SOP then it's bound to breed less than true 100% of the time....kinda a work in progress yet.

is the blue that you are experiencing in place of the black in the patterning, kinda like blue laced reds, if so i might concider seperating them out and trying to work on blue laced reds. I love the blue laced patterning on wyandottes. I actually bought some blue laced red wyandotte eggs to try to cross to develope them as a project. I might be interested in eggs of those goldlaced that are leaning towards blue. PM me and you might have a customer for eggs. Good luck
