Not that I knoooow of. And I almost hope not, because I just spent a fortune ordering CCLB eggs because they're hard to find locally!! .

The ONLY other possibility is that one of my Ameraucanas started laying really early?! Their faces/combs aren't red at all yet though, and I haven't seen any remotely mature looking behaviour...
And this little lady was for SURE nesting around in a nesting box this morning. (not the same one that ended up having the egg in it though...). Man, I really need to invest in a camera.

He really was and by far the most tame/friendly. Also tough as nails, hatching out of a crazy thick/dark egg even though it was a POS incubator! We told the kids we could only keep one cockerel from this hatch, so they/we agonized and chose to keep Sylver the tiny silky, and cull Remi... Hardest choice ever. And two days later we lost Sylver to a predator

My heart goes out to you. I'm so sorry. ❤
