And the bottom floor is being finished. My goals now are to:
1. Finish the last floor with welded wire sides and get the doors built on either side of the hutch.

2. Repaint and finish painting EVERYTHING white and clear coat it.

3. Build a clear sliding tarp/sheet to go around the hutch for winter and during storms. It will attach at the corner and stretch around completely, or half way, depending on weather.

Decor/Cute/Useful things that have nothing to do with the hutch:

4. All breeder rabbits will be litter trained (Completed) and will have litter boxes.

5. Create name signs for all the breeder rabbits.

6. Buy or make beds for each rabbit to have in the hutch.

7. Figure out matching food dishes and build a container/holder for them to go so that rabbits cannot play with them.

8. Decorate and make it look super cute! (IDEAS NEEDED!!)
I like the space the mommas get with this hutch! I like the idea of stacked cages. I’m not sure if I want to do litter boxes for the outside rabbits, but seeing this is giving me something to think about! Let me know what you come up with on building a food container so they don’t move around. I have the same issue!

I’m going to have to look at changing out set up probably next Spring. It’s interesting how great ideas quickly change when they are actually put to the test haha!

I’ll have two rabbits staying indoors (currently there are 5 babies, 2 of which we are bunny sitting). The room is carpeted so I thought of putting a laminate wood flooring down but quickly realized it wouldn’t work without something to hold it into place. So I’ve ordered some vinyl stripping that looks like wood to use on a plyboard for their cage floor. I’ll add a pic when I get it set up!

Here’s a cute toy idea! I ordered one for the babies.

What do you use to feed their hay in? I made some hay feeders but there is so much hay waste from it falling under the cages.

Yes. I am waiting to get some fresh cut hay from our neighbors feed so I have actually only been feeding pellets, which is just fine for them, the pellets are basically compressed hay. They are so much easier for the kits to eat and not spread around and make a mess.

My local feed store carries Bermuda and I’m considering switching because of the price. It’s $12.99 a bale instead of $24 for timothy hay at tractor supply. Any thoughts on Bermuda from anyone?
