i have a hen and her four chicks how long after her chicks are gon will she sart laying eggs

is she raising the chicks or did you separate them? Mine started laying in a few days after she kicked them out on their own

there still together but i need some eggs from here

so you will bring in the chicks and take care of them? Ive done it both ways and honestly it is so much easier to let her take care of them. It only takes her a few weeks to put them on their own. If you want to take them from her it may take several days for her to start laying, just in my experience. I dont know if its true for all hens.
