Ended Broodies & Their Babies Photo Contest

Pics
I love these entries. :love
I so wished I would’ve been able to enter this, but my broody turned into a repeat offending murderous lunatic that made Joan Crawford (Mommy Dearest) look like mother of the year.
With no other options for this great contest I submit the following (not a real entry) Chance- the surviving chick, and his broody momma, brewing 🥴

Oh, wow. I had a broody that killed like two to three chicks before I caught on. I didn't cook her, but I literally grabbed her and threw her out of the coop. (She was a bantam, so she was very easy to throw, and she was a great flyer.) Chance is adorable, I'm glad you were able to save him. :love

Not an entry, as she doesn't have chicks, but this is Baroness, my broody Barnevelder. She was my third broody so far this year, and another hen is on her second round 😩

Aw, that's too bad she doesn't have any chicks, that's a great picture. Maybe buy her some chicks?

For clarity and to show I’m not an intolerant monster, the hen killed 4 last month, was a bully who pecked two hens heads to being bald and raw- she would walk to roost to peck them) and was a habitual egg breaker. She was a terror that, while broody, drove three hens to lay on the floor, the poop tray or outside in the woods. I did love her despite the bad..she had to go though.

Boy, she sounded terrible. Just her killing chicks would be enough explanation for cooking her. I can see why you cooked her. What breed was she? I've had problems with specific breeds (though the whole breed wasn't terrible), so I'm wondering if there was anything to do with that. Another thing, is was she a loner chick (or one that was a different breed or color from the chicks she was raised with)?
