Chicks are around 2 weeks and 5 days old.
They're getting a bit too big to fit under Pippin!
Pippin is still doing a great job. She's very alert and protective over them, but she still lets me play with them as long as they are in her sight!
The rest of the flock has also been very good with Pippin and her chicks. I have a 16wk old Pullet who helps Pippin care for her chicks, she even sleeps with Pippin in the nest box at night! My roosters have been keeping an eye out for danger (mostly pigeons but... Still!) And giving alarm calls when birds fly over. Pippin's sister, Fries, has been very glad to have Pippin back outside. She is like a second Momma to the chicks; feeding them and protecting them. The chicks sometimes get confused (since Pippin and her sister are both white) and follow Fries around!
