Broody hen

I think one of my hens has decided to maybe go droopy today. I was out by the pen reinstalling some wire to section off part of it for my new ducks. I noticed her go in the duck house and sit on the nest moving around and moving the eggs around. Like she is trying to get comfortable. And has not come back out yet. Is this normal behavior?

Sounds like she maybe isn't it exciting, or she was going to lay her egg in there. .

Very good possibility they have over 30 eggs in the nest in there

You really should take out all the oldest nastiest eggs so there isn't so many then the ones you leave mark with numbers or alphabet so you can keep track.

I don’t know which ones are the oldest. I just decided to leave them and see if maybe she was waiting for a large clutch to go broody. I would hate to throw out a good egg.

I can't imagine even a Rouen sitting on 30 eggs but I guess anything is possibly.
