Broody hen

I have my first broody. We dug out the large dog crate that we used to raise these girls when they were chicks. We flipped it upside down, put the tray on the "roof" and placed it in the run, elevated over the sandbox. Since the yard slopes, we put two 2x4 under one side. We do have two 4x4s in the crate and a 2x4 set across those for a roost. It's still hot here and usually breeze-less. She's been in there for about 30 hours except when I let her out so I can clean. I put a couple of frozen 16 once bottles under the crate (about 6 inches under) hoping that in the absence of any breeze, the cold from the bottles might be a good substitute.
