Bruising duck egg hatching!

My duck egg is currently bruising when it is hatching. It has been externally hatching since yesterday.. is it having trouble piping?

I am not certain what you mean by bruising.

Sometimes the shell looks like it's bruising as they hatch, for mine it's quite normal. Wish I had a picture.

Mine externally pipped about 24 hours ago but has a small round bruise now on the opposite side of the egg. Should I intervene? I've heard some peeping. Egg isn't moving though. Thanks

If it externally pipped at the fat end don't worry, it should be fine.

It has been 40 hours since initial pip. Its beak is slightly sticking out. Is it ok to wait until tonight to intervene?
