Budgie. Help?

And they match my room ha! Not that that matters, cuz the birds are more importanter. I just find it funny. Need some red toys and my evil color scheme will be complete.

Update: they are playing and making noise, now.

Their names be Captain Jack Sparrow (wild green budgie) and James Bond (grey budgie.)
No biting, except when I first took the Bond one out of the take-home box. He eats out of my hand pretty good now. No stepping onto it, but we're getting there. Jack avoids me.

Yay! Wonderful outcome for C. JS...great that they have one another - as, they are a flock bird and require company of their own kind...just a side note about the perches, they need natural ones, to help exercise their feet correctly...all my best for your two handsome lads.

Congrats. Good outcome. I've had parakeets, and they are nice pets, except for their dander, flinging seeds and poop on the wall. I made a "toy box" for my birds: put buttons, snaps, little beads, and other trinkets in a little custard cup. They'd have a blast running around on the kitchen table, carrying their treasures around.

They are guard budgies. Whenever we come home, they chitter. James Bond is pretty friendly, but Captain Jack had to have his wing clipped because we had trouble catching him. I got them a ring toy with a bell, but have yet to actually go out and cut some natural perches. Right now they have dowel rods.
Much dander, but the poop is smaller than a chick's, so I'm fine with it. For the most part.
