Oh my I am a new chicken owner and I am curious, do the rooster get too aggressive, is that why they would need a separate space? You can keep them all, depending on how much space you have, and whether you're willing to build a separate enclosure for the young men.
I agree all are males. 3 has a small enough comb, but the face distinctly says male.
Really disappointing for you. I'm sorry.
It's to stop them fighting over the girls.Oh my I am a new chicken owner and I am curious, do the rooster get too aggressive, is that why they would need a separate space?
Because they will kill the hens by overmating them. The general rule for heavy breeds is one roo for 6 hens.Oh my I am a new chicken owner and I am curious, do the rooster get too aggressive, is that why they would need a separate space?

My lads generally start up the choir around 15 weeks. But I've also had one as late as 10 months, and some people on here have had 5 week crowers.

If there are no girls to fight over, they will live in peace.

Love the way 'they will kill the hens by overeating them' was just calmly accepted.
