Buff Orpington Rant thread!

They are way overrated. Too much hype for what most people call “Buff Orps“ are really just hatchery production birds far from what an actual Orpington should be.

Now I wanna see an "actual Orpington" then. Off to Dr. Google.

OK, I like the Partridge English Orpington and the English Jubilee Orpington. Wonder if OP would consider them okay? Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha to the millionth power.

You will not get buff Orps like these (English) from a hatchery.

I personally can't stand American Orps. That said, my best friend has 2 left fron her very first flock I bought her 12 years ago. I love my feathered nieces. I just personally wouldn't ever desire or buy American or Hatchery Orps for myself.
