Buff Orpington Rant thread!

I'm actually fairly indifferent one way or the other. I just hate it when people get all self righteous up in other people's business

I don't think it's even really that controversial, just some people get up in arms every now and then because they don't like that people don't like their favorite breed or whatever, while at the same time they turn around and say similar things about the breeds they don't like without seeing the irony in that.

Their commonness is one reason why I don't like them much, either. But primarily, I don't find the color appealing and have had just as nicely tempered birds without having to add birds of an unappealing variety to my flock.

I love the color but would rather have it in another breed like Leghorns or Cochin bantams. Hatchery Orps are a great choice for those who want eggs with no desire to breed, but a lot of us are interested in maintaining standardized breeds into the future.

I don’t particularly like gold laced. I much prefer silver. But still better than buff.
