I also think that silkies are a bit overrated. I have them, and I love them. But they're meant to be "the friendliest and cuddliest chickens" but even though I've raised one of mine from a chick, I only have one silkie that enjoys the occasional hug. She's not even the one I hatched.

For sure, I've heard from many silkie owners their silkies aren't as sweet as they're made up to be, they just don't usually run because they can't see

Meanwhile my cochins literally stand under my feet wanting to be picked up...
