Yeah, makes sense. I'd probably be the same if I ever have the displeasure of owning a barf orp.

How do you feel about this shade? The chicken itself isn’t that pretty imo, since it is practically swallowed by its feathers (needs more body I am a fair judge pooh pooh ) but I would argue this is more orange than golden buff

Some people when they hold a chicken: oh no it’s flapping oh no it’s going to hurt me what if it pecks me?
Reasonable when they hold a chicken: wow, it’s a chicken, I can secure its wings and if it pecks me that’s not going to hurt me
Chicken people when they hold a chicken: I can hold it with one hand
Amer when she hold’s a chicken: insufficient heart girth, pubic width, geez, that’s bad, breast muscle is so weak it doesn’t fill the feathers.

I have a dusky palomino pullet too, but even she isn't the weird yellow piddle that I see buff Orpingtons show a lot

It's still lacking contrast for me. She just looks like an orange blob. A shame, because the breed is pretty cute otherwise.
