Can't believe I almost sold off this little girl. She took a long time to bloom and really just started about a month ago. I hope to show her this fall.
you are torturing me with these photos! Eggs still looking good as of last night, 1 more week!!!
Beautiful! One of my buff girls is trying to go broodie on me now
Thanks! I have 2 girls trying to broody. I keep taking them out of the coop. I also dipped ones belly in some cool water to try and break her. I think it just p'd her off.
Hello all,
My daughter is starting a 4h poultry project and we just bought her a new roo this weekend. We have a very cute buff hen we bought for a song because she is so broody, and we picked up this young roo at a swap to go with her. I would love to know what you all think of him. I like the uniformity of his color, and his body, he looks so stout. I think his comb looks good, but he could use a bigger top knot and more leg feathering, but other than those things I really like him. I am also putting in a pci of our broody girl, she will hatch out a batch of eggs for me this week. She is a very pretty girl. She has great leg feathering, but has a bit of black leakage in her tail feathers. I hope they will make lovely babies together.
So this is Dusty, our roo.
And this is Buttercup, our hen. Thanks for looking.
