Oh my gosh lol poor thingYes Pickles is supposed to be small! Her legs are super short if that says something lol..
If she was healthy, I'd guess that she would weigh about 55 pounds or so. Perhaps 60.

Yeah… the sudden changes are scary. If I ever had a pit I would NEVER get from shelter or rescue. It would be a breeder who has done proper temperament testing, and who knows the entire lineage of their dogs. Sadly there are a TON of pits out there needing homes but it isn’t worth the risk to me. I don’t believe pits are bad dogs, just there there are a lot of poorly bread pits out there.I don't want to start any arguments, I just thought this was VERY interesting and sad. I think anyone wanting to get a pit bull should read the second edition of Pit Bulls for Dummies.
My pit mix, even though she is a mix, has exhibited similar disturbing behaviors typical of the breed. My family also had a bully breed mix when I was a kid who snapped at children. And I know others who have had terrible experiences with pits, pit mixes, or similar breeds suddenly becoming aggressive. Like the author, I will never get another pit or pit mix. "Because when they are good (and most of them are, most of the time), they are great, but when they're bad, they can be deadly."
EXACTLY. But if someone knows what they're getting into and still wants to take the risk with a rescue pit, good for them!Yeah… the sudden changes are scary.
