Bumblefoot in a Silver Appleyard duck

Her foot looks good..In a pinch you can use pickling salt or even table salt to soak her foot.. I did when my Horse cut his leg. Even warm water would be okay. I think she is on the road to recovery. The antibiotics plus the cream should fight off the infection....Fingers crossed.
Best wishes....

Do you all think there is much chance I will have to open up the foot again?
i wouldnt think so, but the soaks and iodine should be continued

how is her ankle/leg?

Would what surface? Any pus?
I don't think I left any but I worry about more building up. :barnie
yes, any infection will be drawn to the surface as used up white blood cells=pus

It seems pretty good to me. Still hot, but not swollen. The cut has closed pretty nicely.

Changed her bandage again and am soaking her foot. I am quite encouraged by what it looks like tonight. :celebrate It's no longer burning hot to the touch, the ankle is normal sized, and when I prodded the bottom of her foot the harder areas are now soft and pliable. The cut I made looks good too, no oozing and the bandage was pretty much clean when I took it off.
