Bumblefoot not healing. 😔

She’s had one round of oxytetracycline. I removed one large kernel on 9/12. I could not find any other kernels though did remove some stringy bits today and last week. The swelling is not going down, which makes me think something is still in there. Someone advised me to cut her foot and try to remove the infection. I did try this, but after the third time I almost wonder if I should cull her than make her go through that again. She currently gets soaks, prid and vetricyn. Thoughts? Can she have more antibiotics at this point? Foot is not especially warm to touch. She is eating and drinking like normal.

Thank you for asking! She is doing much better. I had to remove a lot more infection from the foot and dose another round of antibiotics, but I believe she is going to fully recover!

I think so. After I removed another round of gunk, it seemed able to help draw out the rest.
