Any idea what gender my buttons are? The darker one has some white growing under its chin so I thought it might be a male but I’m not sure. They’re about 8 weeks old but haven’t laid eggs yet. Could they both be male? I’m new to this! Thanks in advance!

No idea on gender, but get them off of the wood, wood has scent oils in it that are toxic to birds, and while it won’t kill them, it will cause issues, get massage table paper sheets and weigh them down with sand bags and things like sand baths, pop-up ferret tunnels, cardboard houses, etc. and change them daily; and add some exercise foam puzzle mats beneath, they’ll be much happier on a flat surface with proper foot support, it’ll prevent bumblefoot, too.

Will remove the wood chips, thank you! Planning on upgrading their home anyways lol

Of course! And if you’re looking for an upgrade, a “pop-up” mosquito net for a bed is a perfect way to go! Especially with the paper sheets setup, they’re large, cheap, and they can fly right into them and never get hurt. I use them for all my birds.
