It was actually my first "overseas" trip ever. We only got a few brief days in the actual country (went to Numea and Lifou) honestly I may just go again one day, it was lovely and I would love to explore there more!

I went overseas once (last Christmas!) to Puerto Rico. Still haven't left the good old United States though, technically it's a territory of the US.

I know the feeling.
I took a two week backpacking trip to Colorado once and I started missing all the trees of WI.
And Puerto Rico doesn't have as good of infrastructure as here, if you know what I mean.

Parrots are what I'm used to drawing. And at least 90% of my bird species knowledge is parrots, so I'm more likely to think of a parrot species for each prompt then I am any other kind of bird.
