BYC Café

Good morning and thanks for the coffee!
We have chances of rain and cooler weather coming in as well.
58F for a high tomorrow. I planted some radish and chard seeds in a couple of planters by our deck and we will see if something happens. DH and I got another small load of aspen.
Enjoy the day, Cafe! Glad that you all are safe!

Good afternoon Cafe! Happy Birthday Penny!

Drove from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to Lower Mainland, British Columbia in 73 hours. Some kind of crazy. Canadian version of the Cannon Ball Run (except we didn't exceed the speed limit to try to do it faster... haha). 😄 Never want to do that again.

Slept 1.5 hours both the first and second nights on the roadside and 30 minutes on the last night. However, we had the northern lights the second night (Kenora, Ontario) and an incredible set of lightning storms the last night on the road (Revelstoke and Salmon Arm, British Columbia). Super cool to see! Here's a couple of cell phone shots.

Love the pictures!

My college friend I haven't seen in 25 years is stopping by tomorrow!

Under threat of company, the house is soooo much cleaner! I still have some things to attend to; the stuff that gets messy fast is last on the list, so that it doesn't get too messy before she gets here.

Of course, the tomatoes are coming on strong now. 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule, like everything else! I have never canned them this early. My table is covered with tomatoes awaiting their turn in the canner.

Well, look past the table and out the clean windows. :lau
