Hurray for coffee! Hurray for new horses! I can't wait to see the pictures!

Work today, then baking cookies tonight. Thankfully it is cooler today and the humidity is lower.

Scott, you really don't want our weather. We've had a couple of storms come through that have knocked out power, and washed out roads. There are highways closed in the northwestern part of Wisconsin, they got 9" of rain in a short period of time. And high winds and tornados...

Yes, pic's of Margie's new horses are needed soonest.
I was watching the weather channel, they were covering it. Some impressive rainfall amounts in just a short time. I do hope that everybody is OK.

My Dear Margie,
I thought that you knew what you were getting into with a Gypsy Vanner. I hope that his size don't worry you guys, most of them are sweethearts and not any trouble (outside of the size, ya-gota remember just how big a draft horse is and how much room they take up just standing there.)
Scott (who's glad that you had a good trip!)

Not worried, not stressed, just amused! He is bigger than the GVs I saw as a kid, if that is possible? He moves wonderfully and I can't wait to get him started under saddle. DH was like, free? These were free? Well, except for the fuel.... DS and I are going to train them to come to our call today and then start turning them out onto pasture. They have to socialize with my friend's horses from the fire and be one happy herd for a month or so. Maybe the kid can take a pic or two. ?
It is pretty smoky out there with all of the fires. More weed- whacking is in order and general fire prepping.
The coffee is wonderful and Happy B-Day WV!

Not worried, not stressed, just amused! He is bigger than the GVs I saw as a kid, if that is possible? He moves wonderfully and I can't wait to get him started under saddle. DH was like, free? These were free? Well, except for the fuel.... DS and I are going to train them to come to our call today and then start turning them out onto pasture.
