When I first joined-

- some people where freezing water in jugs , turning a garbage can on it's side and Putting the ice inside. They acted like air conditioned rooms. You might be able to do that with a box and the n cover it with shade somehow.
Even if you set up a small sprinkler-on low- the water will help cool that area down some.
I used to let the hose run in their run until the ground was damp, then they would dig their wallows and lay in the cool dirt.

Don't forget to drink your water too. Don't dehydrate or get over heated friends!
Have a good day, I am still working on the big blacksmith shed landscaping project.

Well at least our girls are shaded - we built the coop and run under the roof of a "mare motel" on the property. Still can get bloody hot though!

I use frozen qt. sized drink bottles in 2 gal. sized dishpans and let them stand in the cool water.
How is your Blacksmith doing?

I saw a t-shirt in a Las Vegas gift shop years ago. It showed 2 skeletons sitting on beach chairs in the desert and one of them was saying, "At least it's a dry heat!".

Hot is hot!
