Dad and I have a deal this year. He pays for seed, starting trays and fencing, I provide the space and labor, we split the veggies.

Sounds like a deal to me. If I were 'Dad', I'd be there daily puttering in the gardens. You'd have to put a lock on the gate to keep me out.
