Ugh, waking up to screaming children yet again. They are like wild indians. I have a headache. It makes me feel badly but i wish they would go home. I am a bear when i get less than 8 hours sleep. It is likely to be a bad day because it is going to rain all day. Wish i could go off and sleep some where.

Good morning everyone.

Tried working on the coop yesterday but didn't get very far. Broke the blade on the saw my neighbor loaned me. Now I just have to figure out how to get it out.
We finally got a decent rain here last night. It looks as if it cleared out a lot of the smoke coming across the mountains from the BC wildfires.
I haven't even finished my coop and am already looking at expanding the flock. Does anyone have any experience with Buckeyes ?

Oh oh, looks like the chicken math bug has bitten, lol. No experience here with the Buckeyes but from what I've read, they sound like great birds.

Hmm. Guess it's my turn to get the coffee going.

Wonder if that's enough? Eh, it's a start, anyway. Got one of just hot water over there, too.

Heavy overcast and breezy, much like yesterday. Only real difference is periods of pouring rain - Irma's last hurrah on the east coast, apparently. I'm glad it waited until today to get here; I saw watch boxes popping up all over the radar image when it was in South Carolina yesterday.

I have a friend that claims Buckeyes to be the absolute best bug eaters. Any time I complain about mosquitoes, she reminds me that I need some Buckeyes. Other than being pretty in the pictures I've looked up, I know nothing else about them.
