Just got done talking to DOW up at my neighbor's place. They are bringing in a bear trap tonight. The smaller bear got all but three of her 40 some odd meat chickens. It ate the breast out of them and the middle parts, left the rest of the carcass. It was a massacre for sure. I helped her clean up with some of our other neighbors. The Ranger reiterated that he has not seen a year like this one with the bears. All possible traps are being deployed and he said, 'You are allowed to shoot them" which we knew but he sounded fed up with the bears as much as we are. Their behavior is confusing and not the norm. I don't know. I guess this story is going to continue.....

Scott, my gate is going to have 5 or 6 strands on it. It is a predator fence, both small and big. I have an idea on how to close and latch without it being a big pain.

Scott, my gate is going to have 5 or 6 strands on it. It is a predator fence, both small and big. I have an idea on how to close and latch without it being a big pain.

2 inch PVC pipe with holes drilled in it for all of the hot wires, easy to grab and hold without getting zapped.
