We designed both buildings, by the time we had the house plans drawn up there were very few small changes that needed to be made. We built the main floor of the garage, and then realized that there was NO way we could get the trusses up; Gary came and built the entire second floor, dormers, sheeted the whole thing and built the stairs in two and a half days. I do believe he charged us just under 3K. We LOVE this guy; and so does a whole lot of other people, it's about a year long wait to get him as a builder.

The chicken coop will be going to the right of the garage; we have a spot all leveled and cleared out for it. Just a matter of when we get to it!

Diva- we'll see how much I love it when we are staining the miles of log siding....the tongue and groove that is covering the ceiling ...and the interior trim and doors!

Hi guys - love the home Miss Wiggles look like the 'Alamo' on steriods, think its going to be wonderful when finally finished.

Today I played scrabble with mum, and that was something else, a few words never heard of but so what, she then whipped my butt by putting down 'waxy' with triple letter, triple word score so its still in there somewhere. (Absolutly hysterical) Tonight as I was putting her into bed, her chest was rattling away, and she said to me 'are the church bells ringing darling' - he he

No nearer to any solution but hanging in, both a bit sick so will have to get doc in tomrrow weather turned nasty but that is yUK for you.

Hey guys, how are things going? Bear still skulking around on other properties causing mayhem, but not here. Cutting firewood and cutting weeds in the lake. Baby chicks are growing and I need to move this last batch out to the coop. One of my sons is heading out to fight a fire out in CA. Their truck left today and of course he is very excited to be going. Guess we will see what he has to say about it all when he gets back. We are drying out as well. Alright, well I was just checkin in and so off I go to finish up making dinner.

Hi @whoop whoop , good to hear from you...I was wondering how you were doing. So you like Scrabble? I do too. DH and I play a game about every other day, we take turns kicking each other's behinds. "Waxy" on a triple word is a good one, I'll have to try to work that one in one of our games.

@Mtn Margie there is a whole thing here about the bear problem in US apparanty you have never had so many bears - scary - no bears in the UK Foxes tried to get a pic but it was too quick.

@NorthFLChick things going quite well have found a super home really 'home from home' with CHOOKS they collect the eggs every day Black Rock chooks, quite handsome - never heard of them. Anyway hope to get them in there - lovely big rooms where they can take some furntiture and nick knacks so looking good.(smells nice too lol Feeling much happier now, was in a terrible panic for a moment but going to be a huge mission to move. Hopefully I can DH on a plane to help, doubt it though - money should last for another couple of years if I put them in the home and hopefully will come out at the end of all this with some $$$ for my kids... think its only fair after everything we have been through... Oh dear don't mean to sound callous...
