DS$ and I got flu shots so I am hoping that even if, we won't be out of commission. The flu tends to hit around here at the most important wrestling season bubble, so, shots it is!
Not to scare anyone, and I got the kids in for the shot too, but apparently the reason we see so many more deaths from flu this year is because the shot and tamiflu is ineffective against this strain.
It hit my family and we are all finally over it. Just keep everyone well hydrated, and please do not hesitate to go to the docs.

And aren't hot , humid gyms great places for a virus to spread. Good luck.
With influenza, being in the room with a sick person is all it takes. The body aerosols out the virus-- no touching or fluids involved. Washing hands does nothing to stop influenza

Well if Tamiflu doesn't work what is a doctor going to do?

:weewe are doomed!:(
I know!

I am worried I might get it because My DD came down with influenza on Thursday. She did not get it as bad as some because She had a Flu shot.

Of course I had to take her fever and give her medicine. I tried to stay away as much as possible though.....

It doesn't hurt. There is a thing called an infective dose - the amount of a pathogen it takes to make you ill. Just because there is virus in the air doesn't mean you will inhale enough virus to make you sick; actual physical contact with an individual or their bodily secretions is still considered a very effective means of viral transmission.

My brother and his gf went hiking this weekend so they brought back some pancake mix they got at their breakfast place this morning and we also had them over for dinner last night.

And I got some whistles for Gator. Hopefully they'll help his recall or they're just cool to have ha one was expensive but I wanted the real one not a knock off and I figure it'll last a while. I think he's going deaf but then sometimes I think it's selective hearing so idk haha

I think this one is really cool but I don't have a herding dog and it's a lot harder to use. More like an instrument or an art hah

Good morning, Café. Slowly but surely Little E Z is improving. The steroids are working.

That's awesome!

Yes, a 3.5 year old male. Lost his sire Speakeasy to lymphoma two years ago.

Sorry Sour. :(

The ineffectiveness is theoretically from the egg medium in which the virus is grown. There is a mutation that has developed that renders the vaccine less potent. The vaccine that is produced in mammal medium, given to those with egg allergies, is still very effective. I personally think this stuff is cool...

How do you know which one you are getting? Lie about having egg allergies?

I hope I did not get an infective dose!
