You have to live with fire ants to really understand the problem they are to deal with. The person that comes up with a fire ant control that does work the 1st time will be rich!

Ugh, fire ants. They seem worse this year around here. DH just got done treating the yard areas (where the animals don't go) with Amdro again. It helps for a while but the ants always pop back up. Nasty little things!

It's been a dry, beautiful fall-feeling day here. We just came inside after sitting with the chickens for about 45 minutes. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. Now it's time to do something productive.

I don't see many fire ants, but I swear the stink bugs have come out in full force the past few days. Drove through Burger King yesterday and the whole side of the building was covered with them! I had to roll up my window between the order-window and the pay-window. Yuck!

That's a lot of stink bugs to cover the side of a building. And I thought we had a lot just in the garden this year. Eww.
