12.5 acres. The chickens tend to use about 4 acres of that. From what I've seen with more and less tribes an acre per tribe/family group is comfortable for them. It gives enough room to avoid the other tribes if necessary and supplies enough forage most months of the year for them to eat maybe a third of what I read people feed their contained flocks.Love the pictures, Shad. There were five tribes here at one point and one tribe in particular started to use new territory. Fewer tribes meant their range contracted.
