What a fantastic day you Guys Had!Hello Café. The last of the 'strangers' just left.
I had a mental picture of you slipping out of the shop, 'stolen' hidden beneath your long overcoat.
After a rocky start with Princess's minor accident it turned into a truly great day. Much laughing, food, and fun - so much love. Ever since the grandkids have been born the Princess has been making their albums filled with pictures. Of course the oldest (25) had about 40 # of albums and the youngest only 1 album. Going back over the pictures and memories was great. Princess has been looking forward to this for a long time, and the reaction on the part of the grandkids made her effort worthwhile. They were commenting on how much they enjoyed them and how happy they were to receive them. Once again I reiterated that they will never meet anyone who loves more strongly than her.
Of course everything can't be perfect. Younger of the two grandsons and his girlfriend left early because he can't drive after 11 PM due to his age. Don't ask me why but they decided to go to Chik Fil A. Going around the third circle/roundabout here in 'circle city' they were hit by another young driver. Nobody hurt and only minor damage. Police officer did not issue any tickets. The traffic patterns on these circles is so inconsistent that even locals have trouble with them.
Today one of our grand daughters was showing the Princess a bruise on her hip when the Princess noticed a tattoo. When asked what it said, she replied "Never Forget" and rapidly left the room. Our DIL explained that in the letter left by her birth mother was the request: "Please never let her forget me."This is the girl with the Lupus, and I have never seen her happier and in better health.
I love my family.
We had Asparagus soup yesterday. Today is burgers and tater tots!PS. I brought cold pizza & gallons of coffee. Help yourselves.
Well, with little time to spare, I got my Christmas shopping done. Phew. Not sure why I insist on doing this to myself. The fun thing is that I so rarely go to town there are all kinds of new things to see.
On my way home I was going to stop for fuel, but my husband called and my baby Chickie Buns had been kicked in the head by a cow. By the time he called she was coming out of temporary paralysis, but not out of the woods. Obviously I forgoe'd the gas station and hauled ass home. About 45 minutes later she finally started to come out of it. No more cows for my girl. Don't know what I'd have done if I lost her.
Me too. This is the second time. No more pushing luck around here.I hope she's alright Meg. A kick like that is serious stuff.
I had an appointment set up to see the dog in NJ. My friend who owns Shadow (Ben's buddy) also took time off work to come see the dog and do a meet and greet with him and Shadow. The dinkus owners adopted him out to someone on Long Friggin' Island 2 days before I was supposed to see him. Completely inconsiderate if you ask me. (Yep... still sore about it).
"Oh, they have a big yard" they said. Yeah, right. Like a Dobie can run his butt off in a "big yard". I run my dogs on a 50+ acre parcel. They also insinuated that my dogs were not exclusively indoors. Well, no, I guess they're right. I run them outside and demand that they relieve themselves outside. I guess that makes me a terrible dog owner.

Dobermans ARE exclusively indoor dogs. They are not farm dogs for certain. They were created for protection. They have very sleek coats and low body fat so they cannot handle temperature extremes for long periods of time.Really!? That's crazy.
Thanks, Roomy.Yikes! Scary stuff! I hope shes ok!!!![]()
