BYC Café

Our Christmases are generally very green. Green season is super short lived here. This year it will be a very wet Christmas. I’d rather have white, green or even a brown one over a wet one.
I'm sure the wet gets old after a while. Where abouts are you, if you don't mind me asking?

Can't recall ever having a brown Christmas here. Especially not warm and brown. I'm okay with it :) But I can send you pictures of the brown'ness!

I’m in San Diego, CA. About an hour north of the city, semi costal.
We have two seasons green & brown. Green season is roughly Dec-April if we’re lucky.

Sounds like a good day, Penny!

Ah yes. You were saying you don't get any fall colors. I do like the variation here, but winter is so so long. Well... Normally. I've never been to California!

Jeez, that's terrifying! But it ultimately was the cause of death?

That, to me, is the problem with "pets" and "livestock". Right or wrong, losing any livestock doesn't compare to losing a beloved pet. Chick will be upset and anxious that she can't go or help but it just isn't worth it. She had a leg out stiff for a bit after she got kicked. I hope that isn't the same that Amber had.

Did Ben have a hematoma? Or just similar nerve problems?
I consider my ducks and chickens livestock, some people think I'm crazy for doing that :idunnothats what they are to me though. Yeah, a few are my favorites but they aren't considered pets like my dogs, cat, or lizard.
