Now I can't work hard enough to get that kind of sore.

Doesn't take much work to get my joints-a-screaming...a little more gets the muscles.
Gotta balance it all out....Mobility Budget, tempered by Motrin.

What a nice day to work outside.
I got the line repaired to the yard lamp at Dad's. Sealant lined heat shrink tube at both splices.

I got the old door out of mom's house, got the house wrap on and the seams taped and one window opened up and weather sealed with self adhesive bituminous tape.

PITA LAZY nephew was supposed to help. I got to the end of the house on one layer of wrap and said to him, "Could you give me a hand?" He blurted out "No". I just as quickly replied, "Then feck off" (I bought a different vowel ).
He said, "WHAT!!?"
I said, "Feck. OFF."
He did!!

Should be another nice day here. The rains start Monday.
Hoping to get the new door in, all the accessories up and maybe a few courses of siding on today. BIL will help me. Nephew can stay in his room playing his video games and watching TV all day.

I regularly put my boot up his butt.
His parents treated him like dirt. Kicked out on his ear when he was just shy of 19. My mom and dad said they'd take him in so my sister and BIL went down to SC and brought him back. Everyone except me and DH felt sorry for him and coddled him. I don't do that. I see a problem that needs fixing. The kid couldn't drive, can't behave normally in social settings and has ZERO motivation.

I tried to help by teaching him life skills. I was no fun. My sister let him watch movies and play games all the time. So that is where he wanted to go. Long story short, he's no different now, 11 years later, than he was then.

Coming up on 30 years old and works no more than 20 hours a week at a Dollar General, mooching off my mother and moves his girl friend up from SC and now my mother is supporting her too.

How is any of this right?? So maybe this explains my reaction to him saying "No" to me when I asked for some help working on the house HE is living in...

we have a niece like that---never had to grow up and be responsible for herself. Every setback was someone else's fault. Had to learn to ignore her after a while so not to get sucked in to doing it all for her
