Good thing is that, in my experience, cold weather really hastens feather regrowth.

That's what I'm hoping. It's not been too cold yet, but that dad-gum wind No feathers to blow up, they probably get pretty chilly!

So much! Crimanetly. I wonder if Bob's juicer extracts more, you think? I'm going to make applesauce with the rest of them. I'll get a lot out of it that way. I suppose it doesn't help that those are pretty small apples. Lots of core, skin, seeds etc.

I got my apple juice made. Three quarts! Three... whole quarts. Can't help but feel a twinge of disappointment at my piddly haul. Now I have to hide it in my closet for admiration purposes only.

I kid, of course. I'll get better and faster at it - just have to keep trying.

I've got a few hens going through hard molt right now. I had to share a picture of Goldie. Poor girl.

I never had all the birds moult as much all at the same time. Even the Jubilee Orpingtons, who are only about 6 months old, are moulting!

Ummmmmmmmmmm, nope.. don't have one of those... LOL. I was sneezing after the first cup, and the more I drank the tireder I got.. Something was just off... Quit coffee because all of a sudden it didn't taste very good any more. Feeling better too.
