BYC Café

She got 'away' from CS, but still lives(d) with CS?
She got away from her by being in the hospital. CS won't drive more than 3 miles from the house and only on side streets. She hasn't even called mom or asked someone to take her to see her since she was admitted almost 2 weeks ago.
She is obsessed with trying to get this new will that SHE wrote that cuts me out to my mom to sign. She is in no mental condition to sign any legal document AND the stupid will is locked in the safe in the house and mom accidentally threw away the keys to it.
I have been talking with my mom and let her know that CS caused all the problems between us and she acknowledges it. She wouldn't sign the stupid will if CS got it to her and CS will have a major hissy fit when she finds out we've cleared the air. We are all trying to keep mom away from her at this point because she does nothing but cause her distress. Non-stop distress.
She is showing lots of signs of early dementia too. She couldn't answer the nurse when she asked for her birth date and she told me no one had come to see her but me on mother's day. I didn't think that was the case. I confirmed that everyone (except CS of course) saw her earlier that day by talking to my sister. Mom just didn't remember and she keeps getting times and dates all mixed up.

Had 2 probable broodies in the nests last night, 1 of them was really 'ticking', they weren't in there this morning tho. But it's likely inevitable, so I set up 2 crates ready to go.

1 crate now holds Old Goldie, after her 3rd night in the run I want to get a better look at her and make sure she's eating(more than the bit of morning scratch, and especially drinking. Not sure if she's even been in the coop (where the feed and water is) at all in the past few days. Not sure if I'll leave her crated all day then onto the roost tonight, or try to set her down on the coop floor and watch her for awhile to see what she does.

Good afternoon Café!

I brought another pot to enjoy. :caf

My three broodies have their chicks scheduled for Saturday/Sunday (11), Sunday/Monday (10) and Tuesday/Wednesday (8). Between the three of them they are sitting on 29 eggs, one had died, so removed it today.

:confused:As far as I remember, cats only bring mice to those they love. And living mice to teach those they love how to hunt. I had my share of half-dead or even living mice brought to me in my many years as a cat owner...:sick

What an awful situation @DobieLover ! Big hugs:hugs
