We have a frost warning for tonight
Same here. We're headed down to 28F tonight. I have all the large pots and stuff in the ground covered and brought in the 6 hanging baskets. Two are in the coop for the night.

I took the wet nest away from Jody and put her and her chick on the floor of the brooder and put the wet nest on the other side of the wall for Astrid. She hopped on at first but fought me when I tried to put her back after she left to go after the handful of seed I spread. I'll drape a towel around the area to make it more private and toss her back on when I do lock up tonight.

I brought Alecia in for a butt bath and blow dry, gave her some Cipro, scrambled egg and some sugar water and a crop massage and put her back out. She didn't eat much today as her crop felt mostly empty.

Photo session today...

Windy's 2 girls!

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I see some of my covers pulled off my flower boxes and exposed the potato vine plants. I don't know if they've been damaged too much to survive yet. Hopefully not.
I also netted the water lettuce and hyacinth out of the pond. They are sitting in a garbage bag on my counter. It isn't going to warm up enough before I leave for work to put them back in.

Good morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee DL!

No frost here in Halifax this morning! The rest of the province (apart from coastal areas) did get some frost though. I'm up to Cape Breton this evening and hope to plant some of my dahlias out over the weekend. They will be protected with a frost cloth for the next two weeks - not taking any risks there as we can get frosts until mid June.

Beautiful and sunny here this morning! Have brought some tulips into the lab to help cheer this new space up.
