Storm was rather scary when the local network station was taken over by the weatherthespians.
Flood warnings, high wind warnings, tornado warnings.
In reality, only a short burst of high wind and hellacious thunder/lighting.
Did get a half hour of heavy rain that flooded my garage but not the chicken run.
Disaster averted.

Anyone got any extra bubble wrap. We were working outside this morning. Me mowing and the Princess working in the flower bed. I look over and see her in slow motion tripping over a decorative fence she has placed around the front bed. She landed on a paving stone and sliced/abraded her knee. I don't think she needs stitches, but it is swelling and oozing blood. 'Nurse George' is applying ice packs and supplying Advil. I would like to wrap her in large size bubble wrap.

Luckily, we overcame this situation a few years ago and rigorously started to get rid of the accumulations.
No more " this will come in handy one day" or "soandso gifted it to us and although it is ugly and of no use we have to keep it".

Reclaiming our space and just keeping what we really like, use and need is very liberating. It also somehow feels like letting the past go and rather focussing on the present and near future which lifts the spirit.

We are still at it and it feels great.
I need to get on that for my sanity, don't think I'll ever get DW to do so. I plan to die first because I don't want to deal with all her clutter.

Nurse George, get some bandages to cover the wound and if you have an ace bandage wrap it around the bandages to help with swelling.

Keep a close eye on her wound and if it starts turning blue loosen the ace bandage.

I stopped to visit DH on my way home from work today and found him face planted on the floor of his room. None of the nurses or aides were even aware.
He didn't seem injured and I asked him at least 5 times if he fell and he kept saying "no". I rolled him over on his back, braced my feet in front of his and pulled him up by his arms. He seemed okay but I still grabbed him in a bear hug and burst into tears. That isn't the kind of thing I expect to see when I go there.
